”“The Davis Concepts for Life Program helped me to gain a strong sense of empathy in the way that I can now understand why people feel the way they do, and what influence my actions have on them. I have also learnt how to be less socially awkward with people my age in ways such as being able to understand sarcasm and catch onto jokes a lot quicker. Overall the program has helped me to feel a lot more comfortable in social situations, and to understand the thoughts, feelings and behaviours of people around me more easily.”
Alison16yrs DAA program
”“The Davis Concepts for life program really helped me become more self- oriented with my everyday social life but also my school and work. Over the course of the program, I learnt different ways of approaching problems or issues that may come up in life and how to deal with them in the best way possible. I also learnt how to become more organised with schooling by making timetables and tidying / sorting out all my equipment so my head doesn’t feel so overwhelmed. I have found that in my daily life I’m becoming more aware of my surroundings and being more organised for things. One change I’ve noticed is that I am more switched on when it comes to class and zone out less. I still do sometimes, but when I do, I become aware of it and switch back on. I have really benefited from doing this program and It was great doing it with Jane as she really adjusts to your needs and makes it fun with all the different experiences you get to be a part of.”
Piper17yrs. DCL program
”“I would strongly recommend Jane and the Davis program for children with ASD, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder or individuals needing to work on their social and personal capabilities. Piper was struggling to return to school after the global Covid Pandemic and numerous lockdowns. She was very anxious and reluctant to get involved in social events.
Anna- Parent / TeacherDCL Program
Post program, Piper has since returned to school and is attending regularly. She is more focused on her studies and is clear with her communication. Her anxiety has lessened, and she is able to use her ‘tools’ to regulate herself.”
